It all started simply enough as a hobby, but it is slowly becoming my passion... I am not a professional cake decorator by any means as my official education/training consists of a series of Wilton classes taken at a local Michael's craft store, but I love food, and by default dessert (or is it the other way around?) and thus I find myself often knee deep in cake and other sweets. See, Sugar and I have an understanding. It is cooperative, forgiving, and willing to try new things with me, and in return, I serve it up to others in artistic shapes, colors, and flavors. Mmmmm, the flavors!
This website is a place for me to share with you all my caking triumphs and disasters (because they will happen, with funny stories in tow). As time permits, I will also share my favorite recipes and kitchen tools with you, and quite possibly, a restaurant or cookbook review or two along the way... you’ll just have to check in from time to time to see what’s new!
In January of 2013, California legistlation came into effect that will allow me to make treats from hom for sale am I am currently going through the process of becoming a LEGAL home baker!
